Another Country are pleased to announce the launch of their fourth studio collection, Series Four, at this year's designjunction at Granary Square, Kings Cross, as part of the London Design Festival 2016.
Another Country’s first collection since launching Series Three in 2013, Series Four stems from their study of traditional English kitchen table design and 20th Century modernism. The strong, architectural form of the new collection combines cleated end tops, Rietveld-inspired leg frames and a stackable stool design, to add a new aesthetic language to the brand's portfolio.
Looking to the handsome architecture of canal frontages in Amsterdam, in Another Country founder Paul de Zwart's native Netherlands, Series Four has been conceived as a thoroughly contemporary collection that meets the growing demand for spatially aware furniture design. Created for both the contemporary home as well as commercial environments, the new Series Four range includes a dining table, bench, stackable low stool, bar stool and day bed, produced in a range of different sizes in solid and engineered oak versions, alongside a lacquered option.
Continuing the traditional of incorporating a Bar Stool in every collection, the Series Four version will be available with or without a backrest, utilising the brand's signature brass accent in the detailing of the footrest. The low seating Bench has been purposefully designed to slot snugly under the Dining Table to create a clean silhouette and minimise its overall footprint, while the low Stools have been created to stack neatly for an elegant, space-saving seating solution.
Another Country's Series One and Series Two Daybeds have become iconic pieces in their respective collections, as this elegant furniture style has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity over the past five years. The Series Four Daybed continues the strong architectural language of the collection, and promises to become a future classic.
Series Four will launch at designjunction, 22 - 25 Sept. Please visit Stand A10 to view the new range, alongside recent additions to Series One, Series Two and the First Light collections.
